GCO Canton District and its member clubs cordially invite you to “huddle up” and join other clubs from all over Ohio to attend the 97^th Annual Garden Club of Ohio Convention June 17-19  at Embassy Suites in North Canton, Ohio.  With a nod to our neighbor, National Pro Football Hall of Fame and Village, our theme is TEAM OHIO!  Convention Committees have been very busy preparing interesting activities and speakers to educate and entertain you.  As usual, there are vendors, raffles, and a fun flower show.

Tuesday, June 17, “gets the ‘foot’ball rolling!”  As guests arrive, visit vendors and purchase raffle tickets.  Have dinner at the hotel restaurant or explore the many fine dining, fast food, or casual dining places close by.  Current and past GCO Board members are invited to meet for dinner and a TEAM OHIO! Pep Rally.  Then relax and get ready for a busy Wednesday!

Wednesday, June 18, is packed with activities and food and information and fun!  Hint:  Herbalicious is delicious!  Sign up!  Our morning speaker tells us about organic gardening and why it is important for the environment and for our health.   Afternoon speaker is all about wildlife in our gardens.  She has stories to tell!  The Awards Luncheon features projects our garden clubs have been working on all year, along with Flower Show awards.  Don’t miss the Convention Flower Show (“Ohio Football”) before it closes at 6pm.  The Banquet features Janet Weir Creighton who will speak about the importance of the flowers and gardens at the White House—from her experience during her time there.  Immediately following, a short design program follows a girl’s significant events in her life journey—punctuated by flowers!

Thursday, June 19, we bid farewell and safe travels to old and new friends we spent time with this week.  A Breakfast Buffet precedes the Annual Meeting where we “take care of business” and look forward to next year’s administration and, of course, 2026 Garden Club of Ohio Convention!
