Educational Opportunities
Our clubs utilize educational programs as part of their annual program.  District meetings offer additional, often advanced opportunities to learn many aspects of gardening.  GCO Annual Convention is an enjoyable event offering diverse programs to share with hundreds of garden club members in Ohio.

NGC Study Units
National Garden Clubs offer individual study units on horticulture, civic interest, floral design for youth and adults and landscaping.  These units are available on the NGC website for a small fee.  Shop NGC now!

Garden Club of Ohio offers many educational opportunities. These include four National Garden Clubs, Inc accredited courses promoting the love of gardening, floral design, landscape design, and environmental responsibility. Environmental School; Flower Show School; Gardening Study School; and Landscape Design School.

These classes are open to everyone: garden club members, hobby gardeners, professional gardeners and those wanting to learn the basics.  Each school requires registration and a fee determined by each school chairperson.

Our schools feature in depth instruction.  National Garden Clubs sets the criteria, requires specific content and approves the highly qualified instructors.  There are 4 courses per school which have a specific curriculum that is updated regularly to keep the material current and relevant.

Take a look at the videos about each school and find your interest. Direct questions to GCO’s All Schools Chairman Pat Rupiper at
