Garden Club of Ohio’s President Debra Turner is happy to announce details for her
President’s Project Plant a Future!
Garden Club of Ohio President Debra Turner has chosen Plant a Future for her 2025-2027 President’s Project. She is challenging GCO clubs to develop projects that will benefit their communities not only in the present, but for generations to come. Projects will be judged on how well they Plant a Future, how they help life survive for the next 100 years. That life could be the many ones supported by white oaks planted by the club: birds nesting there and feeding their young with caterpillars munching on the oaks’ leaves. Maybe It could be ephemerals drinking from a spring the club project expands in a wooded nature area. It could be for animals or insects or plants migrating annually or specifically for survival.
