Partners in Conservation (PIC) was founded in 1991 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in
response to the genocide of the people of Rwanda.
Garden Club of Ohio, Inc. has been a partner since 2007 with the goal of respectfully saving
the rain forest and mountain gorillas. If local people do not have to use these resources
to care for their families, the forest will thrive and the animals will survive. Seeds of
Friendship has increased awareness of the importance of sharing our resources and the
impact our program has made.
